From May 28-31, the Accufast team joined more than 7,000 public safety and health professionals in Kissimmee, Florida, for RISE25 — the premier conference exploring the intersection of substance use, mental health, and justice innovation. Hosted by All Rise, this four-day gathering featured over 250 training sessions, bringing together leaders, judges, probation officers, treatment court alumni, and countless passionate advocates all working to strengthen communities.
Courts are looking for smarter, more compassionate ways to test
The sessions at RISE25 revealed just how much drug testing practices are evolving. We heard repeatedly that specimen choice matters — with urine still the standard but oral fluid rapidly gaining traction for being observed, harder to tamper with, and more trauma-informed, even if it has a shorter detection window. Frequent, random testing (at least twice weekly) is proving critical to deter relapse, while creatinine checks help spot dilution — the most common cheating tactic.
Courts and providers are also embracing trauma-informed collections, recognizing that many participants have complex histories and that observed urine tests can be triggering. Meanwhile, cannabis continues to be a hot topic, with rising THC potency, conflicting state and federal laws, and new questions about how to maintain accountability in a changing landscape.

Drug Dog® drew attention as programs rethink how to support recovery
At our booth, we showcased our Drug Dog® Oral Fluid Smart Testing System, which sparked many thoughtful conversations. Visitors were eager to see how this fast, reliable, and non-invasive tool can reduce tampering, support trauma-informed practices, and ultimately build participant trust. It was rewarding to reconnect with old friends and meet so many new teams exploring innovative ways to enhance treatment court outcomes.

We’re more committed than ever to advancing this work together
Leaving RISE25, we’re energized by the community’s dedication to balancing accountability with compassion. We’re more determined than ever to support treatment courts and justice programs with testing solutions that do more than just detect use — they build trust, encourage honesty, and ultimately strengthen long-term recovery.
If we didn’t get a chance to meet you at RISE25 — or if you want to explore how Drug Dog® could fit into your program — we’d love to connect. Together, we can keep pushing this vital work forward.
