Why Accufast?
SmarTest R&D Center
SmarTest R&D Center, Accufast’s innovation hub, was established in Taipei in March 2023. It originated from the 2013 “Drug Oral Fluid Rapid Screening Project” led by Professor Cheng-Ying Chou at CIBILab, Department of Biomechatronics Engineering, National Taiwan University. Collaborating with judicial agencies, medical institutions, and drug policy units, the center employs AI, biometrics, advanced optics, and big data to create efficient oral fluid drug testing devices. Supported by the National Science and Technology Council since 2013 and recognized as a top achievement in the 2020 “Taiwan Advanced Instrumentation Project,” it transitioned to industry-academia collaborations in 2021, culminating in its formal launch to advance production and societal impact.
